“Awhile” Or “A While”?

Ever wonder when you’re supposed to use “awhile” versus “a while”?

It’s easy to confuse the two. In fact, most of us do.

Here’s a quick, helpful hint:

“A while” needs to be accompanied by a preposition. While “awhile” does not.

For instance: “I slept for a while.” OR “I slept awhile.”

Hope that helps!
